2 min read

Summertime is in full swing, and if you’re like us, we couldn’t be happier. With the rising temperatures come responsibilities your tenants must tend to to make the summer season as enjoyable as possible.

Not sure where to start? We’ve got you covered! Below are four quick tips that you can share with your tenants to help make this summer the best one yet.

1. Keeping Your Property Pest Free

Warmer temperatures tend to attract unwanted pests that can disturb your outdoor activities. Ensure you do not leave any food items out and surfaces are adequately disinfected after use to help reduce pest activity.

2. Grilling & Cooking Outside

Barbeque season is in full effect, but in many places, it is illegal to have a barbeque on your balcony because for safety reasons. Before you take out your grill, check the city guidelines and your property management to see if it’s permitted.

3. Staying Cool

If you’re planning on buying a fan or a cooling system for your unit, make sure not to overload electrical sockets with too many appliances. This can cause an electrical issue or even start a fire, so be aware of the products you buy and how many plugs are used.

4. Respecting Your Neighbours

Summer is the best time for gatherings and socializing with friends and family. But it is essential to be aware of your neighbours and keep the noise level at a minimum.

At Westhaven Group, we strive to provide best-in-class services to our commercial and residential tenants. As Toronto’s leading property management team, we will keep your investment, tenants and visitors profitable and at ease.
